Fresno State’s first men’s cross-country team in three years produced a third place finish at the 2006 Stanford Invitational, Saturday.

Running the 4,000-meter race for the first time this season, the Bulldogs tallied 83 points, while freshmen Brandon Geis and Frank Sanders were the top two finishers for the Bulldogs.

Geis finished eight overall with a time of 13:17 as Sanders finished in a time of 13:20, good enough for 10th in the 60-man field.

The Fresno State women competed in the event as well, finishing 13th out of 17 teams in the 6,000-meter race.
