Jason Gatewood, a senior mass communications major, and Albert Melero, a senior psychology major, race through the obstacle course at the Bulldog Basketball Blowout, held Thursday. Associated Students and USU productions co-sponsored the event, which included the course, a trampoline, games and prizes to promote spring sports.

 

 

 

 

Student organization to discuss long-term CSU fee increases

CSSA may propose fee increases, financial aid ideas to CSU board of directors

A statewide student organization may make suggestions for a long-term, annual fee increase to the CSU board of trustees and state legislature after its monthly conference, held at Fresno State this weekend.The California State Student Association is trying to construct a permanent fee increase schedule instead of slowly progressing increases, so students will be better prepared for the rising fees.More>>

Fresno State set to lose $11 million

Two Fresno State administrators outlined plans for dealing with an $11 million budget cut during Thursday night’s Associated Students meeting. Jeri Echeverria, provost and vice president of Academic Affairs, and Paul Oliaro, vice president of Student Affairs, also presented some of the official figures of where cuts will be felt.More>>

 

Fresno culture highlighted in library lecture

A Fresno historian will discuss “Culture and Entertainment in the Young City of Fresno” at the Friends of the Madden Library program today at 6:30 p.m. Author Cathy Rehart will trace the development of cultural opportunities as Fresno grew from a railroad stop to the major city of the Central Valley that it is today. She will also focus on the changing social environment of the city.More>>
