Fresno State vs. East Tennessee State preview

Men's team wins by 20 at Tulsa

Coming off back-to-back losses, the struggling Bulldogs showed their mettle, stomping Tulsa 61-41 in Oklahoma.

Fresno State had lost six of its previous eight games coming into the contest and appeared to have fallen out of the Western Athletic Conference race. But the win leaves the Bulldogs (12-11, 8-6 WAC) just a game and a half behind conference leaders Hawaii, UTEP and Rice with four of the Bulldogs’ five remaining games being played at home.

Shantay Legans led Fresno State with 24 points, including 6 3-pointers, and Dreike Bouldin set a career-high with 19 points, including 5 3-pointers. Bouldin had a team-high eight rebounds.

Fresno State jumped out to a 32-20 halftime lead. The 41 points was the lowest Tulsa had ever scored in the Reynolds Center. Fresno State never trailed in the game. The Bulldogs host East Tennessee State Saturday in ESPN’s Bracket Buster.
