Memorial for Shana Eriksson is on Tuesday

Students, faculty and community members will gather Tuesday to pay their respects to Shana Eriksson, the Fresno State equestrian member who died Sept. 27 from injuries related to an on-campus riding accident.

The memorial, which will begin at 4 p.m. in the Animal Science Pavilion on Barstow and Woodrow avenues, will feature the equestrian team’s Mounted Honor Guard and special greenery prepared by the ornamental horticulture department.

Tuesday’s tribute to Eriksson—put together by the Bulldogs equestrian team, the athletic department and the college of agricultural sciences and technology—is open to the public.

Parking will be free in the dirt lots to the east and north of the Animal Science Pavilion.
