On Saturday, 559 Fights is back at the Visalia Convention Center, with the California Amateur Mixed Martial Arts Organization (CAMO) Featherweight Championship and the CAMO Bantamweight Championship up for grabs.
The main event is for the Featherweight belt and features Erique Arroyo (4-2) against German Taboada (4-2). Arroyo was scheduled to fight on Feb. 13 against Jonathan Diaz (6-3), but the fight was canceled due to a bad weight cut and medical emergency from Diaz.
Taboada is coming off of a loss from Diaz, but was the last person to defeat Arroyo back in April 2025. Their battle won fight of the year for 559 Fights in 2025.
“Fans witnessed something special the first time, and the rematch has all the ingredients to be just as explosive,” said Jeremy Luchau, CEO of 559 Fights in a press release.
Taboada took the first win via unanimous decision, but Arroyo will look to change the final result.
Another rematch is featured in the co-main event, this time for the Bantamweight Championship. The undefeated Noah Ozuna (4-0) is going against Luis Ramos (5-2).
Ozuna won their last match in June 2025 via unanimous decision and is coming off a round one TKO against Matthew Vargas (4-2) in September 2025.
Ramos on the other hand, is coming off a second-round Darce choke submission in February.
He said that his knack for grappling has been with him since he was a kid. He grew up wrestling in Selma and he said that the training has translated into MMA.
He is fighting out of Dethrone MMA, which he has been with for the past year and a half. He said it has given him a wider perspective on fighting.
“Since I started (at Dethrone MMA), I’ve seen a lot of improvement,” Ramos said. “Coming from wrestling, you’re just so used to the grappling part, but then you see that there’s a lot of other stuff that’s opened up.”
Aside from CAMO Championship fights, the 559 Fights Super Lightweight Championship is also up for grabs. Israel Aldama (3-1), who won via unanimous decision in February, will fight Rick Ugalda (3-0), who is coming off a dominant unanimous decision where he suplexed his opponent multiple times.
A Bantamweight fight between Matthew Vargas (4-2) and Isaiah Sanchez (3-0), as well as a Heavyweight fight between Isidro Sanchez (2-1) and Miguel Gutierrez (1-0), will open up the main card bouts.
The preliminary fights start at 5:15 p.m. while the main card starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online or at the event. It will also be live on MyTv53 and on 559 Fights YouTube Premium.
