The No. 2-seed Fresno State water polo team faces off against the No. 1-seed Loyola Marymount Lions for the Golden Coast Conference (GCC) Title. This is the third consecutive year that the Lions and Bulldogs will play for a GCC Championship.
The winner will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament at the University of California, San Diego, in La Jolla, California.
The Lions have won the previous three meetings, taking two in the regular season and defeating the Bulldogs in the 2025 GCC Title game.
Their previous meeting saw the Lions down the ‘Dogs 12-9 at the Lions’ home pool, the same place where the Bulldogs were knocked off their GCC throne.
The last Fresno State win in the rivalry came in the 2024 GCC Tournament game.
