Here is what Fresno State students and community members should know about graduation ceremonies.
The university’s 115th commencement, held May 15-16, will celebrate students and affinity groups who completed a degree between Summer 2025 and Spring 2026.
All eight of Fresno State’s academic colleges will hold their own ceremony to honor students graduating in that field of study. Affinity groups will also host their own separate ceremonies and celebrations.
Ceremony locations include the Save Mart Center, the Resnick Student Union (RSU), the Satellite Student Union (SSU) and the Student Recreation Center. For guests unable to attend, commencements will be livestreamed.
For ceremonies at the Save Mart Center, seating is first-come, first-served and tickets are not required to attend. Guests are encouraged to arrive 45 minutes before ceremonies begin, as there will be security checkpoints at all entrances.
Free parking around the arena will be available during commencement weekend.
Per the Fresno State commencement website, only clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags that do not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″ will be permitted inside the Save Mart Center. Smaller bags measuring 4.5″ x 6.5″ x 2″ are also permitted, in addition to one approved clear bag.
Exceptions for essential medical items will be made, but are subject to inspection.
