Like Coachella, there is a time when artists come together every year to create memories for fans. Tyler, the Creator hosted his 10th anniversary of Camp Flog Gnaw, the music festival and carnival, on Nov. 16-17 at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. Camp Flog Gnaw has been held since November 2012, with a hiatus between 2020 and 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
What makes it special is the outfits people can create for the event starting from their hairstyle to their choice of shoes. Flog Gnaw is two days where those attending can show off their sense of style.
A lot of trends were seen throughout the festival. Boots were a big hit this year, with their popularity being pushed on TikTok, mainly being paired with a long skirt. They were even worn with micro skirts and shorts in bloomer style. With the festival lasting till 11 p.m., ushankas, which are Russian fur hats, were a popular accessory, which happens to be one of Tyler’s signature pieces.
For men’s fashion, baggy jeans were a big hit. This is where street style was mainly used, either wearing bomber jackets or button-ups over a graphic tee. Hats and beanies were a go-to accessory to complete the look.
Couples coordinated with the red cardigan outfit Tyler wore for his ‘Side Street’ video that was posted on YouTube back in 2021 for his “Call Me If You Get Lost” album. Some even brought Tyler’s “Igor” suit with the blonde short bob wig.
The biggest inspiration was from Tyler’s new album “CHROMAKOPIA”. On his album cover, Tyler is seen wearing a green suit with thick white lines near the cuffs. There were many recreations of the suit especially from girls who turned it into skirt form.
Here is an insight into a few outfits from Camp Flog Gnaw 2024.
