Aaron Judge is a Fresno State alum who has been playing baseball with the New York Yankees for almost a decade. In his latest project, he is trading those teammates for the determined puppy pals of Builder Cove. In his guest star appearance, Judge dons his classic white and blue uniform to do what he does best, hit home runs.
Judge makes a guest voice appearance in the new season of “Rubble and Crew,” which is a spin-off of the popular children’s show “PAW Patrol.”
Judge is a well-known New York Yankees baseball player with several accolades under his belt that did not just start in his Major League Baseball (MLB) career.
When Judge was attending Fresno State in 2012 he was a two-time recipient of the First-Team All-Wac Award. He was also the Home Run Derby Champion in 2012.
Judge has become a household name for baseball fans and Fresno State fans due to his sheer talent and sportsmanship, so much so that Fresno State retired his jersey in May of this year.
The MLB isn’t the only place where Judge is hitting home runs these days.
“Rubble and Crew,” follows a hard-working bulldog named Rubble and his puppy pals as they go on missions to help out the citizens of Builder Cove.
Judge voices himself anticipating a home-run derby, but there is a bit of a curve ball in this story. Judge couldn’t leave town in time to make it to the derby.
Luckily, Judge has the help of a dedicated bulldog named Rubble and his friends Mix, Charger, Wheeler and Motor. They work alongside Judge’s real life blond dachshunds Gus and Penny, voiced by Judge’s wife, Samantha, to come together to build a ballpark for Judge to hold his derby.
Since the episode’s release, the Yankees have shown their support by holding a picnic at the Yankees stadium and screening the episode for the players to watch with their families.
“As a proud dog dad, it was a blast to join Rubble and his friends in this adventure,” Judge told MLB reporters back in March. “ Through my foundation work, I understand the importance of reaching kids and teaching them the importance of teamwork.”
The episode titled, “The Crew Builds a Ballpark,” premiered on Monday, Aug. 26 and will continue to air throughout the week on the Nickelodeon channel and on FubuTV.
