Photo essay: The Red Wavettes are Fresno State’s first majorette team

The small but mighty ensemble shines at men’s basketball games
Imani Purvis (left) and Brianna Chambers (right) dance with passion evidently showing their emotions on their faces. They have a smile the whole time with the audience’s eyes on them during their performance.

The Red Wavettes are Fresno State’s first majorette team and a student organization that established itself in Spring 2023. Since the beginning of this semester, the Red Wavettes have performed during halftime or on the sidelines for the men’s basketball games.

On Feb. 14, they performed at the Fresno State men’s basketball game at the Save Mart Center, taking the stage with their high-energy performance and fierce styles.
