Director of Athletics Terry Tumey confirmed that the Bulldog Shop location on the corner of Cedar and Barstow avenues will be shutting down on Saturday, July 30.
The Bulldog Shop is closing more than two decades after opening in 1998. Any new shops that open in that location in the future will not be the official team store of Fresno State Athletics, Tumey said.
Instead of renewing the lease at that location, Fresno State Athletics has decided to enter into a partnership with both Follett and Fanatics to expand the availability and accessibility of Bulldog merchandise, according to the news release.
The Fresno State Bulldog Shop shared the news on its Facebook page and said it was “proud” to partner with “industry leaders” Fanatics and Follett.
Official Bulldog merchandise will be available again on August 2, when an e-commerce site in partnership with Fanatics goes live. The website will offer 24/7 access to a “dynamic” selection of Bulldog merchandise, Tumey said.
Valley Children’s Stadium, previously known as the Bulldog Stadium, will soon feature a gameday fan shop on the north end, as well as other sales locations on the south end concourse, east side concourse and within the Bulldog BLVD pregame fan fest experience, according to the news release.
In the meantime the Kennel Marketplace located at Campus Pointe will become the “temporary brick and mortar home” of the Bulldog Shop, Tumey said.
The hours for the Kennel Marketplace are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
