Stadium name changing? Fresno State partners with local hospital

Fresno State Athletics will receive financial support courtesy of a partnership with Valley Children’s hospital.

Fresno State president Saul Jimenéz-Sandoval and Valley Children’s Hospital CEO Todd Suntrapak announced a partnership between the two that includes Valley Children’s acquiring naming rights to Bulldog Stadium.

According to a news release, the partnership will run for 10 years. Valley Children’s Hospital will provide $1 million of financial support each year for operations, scholarships, collaborations for student-athletes and youth programs.

Additionally, over the decade of this partnership, Valley Children’s will have the naming rights to Bulldog Stadium, but the name of the stadium will not be revealed until November 2021 when the California State University Board of Trustees will vote on its approval.
