Hungarian musician and pianist  Dénes Várjon is expected to perform a selection of works by various acknowledged composers in the Philip Lorenz International Keyboard Concert Series at 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, in the Concert Hall, according to a press release.

The concert series began in September 2018, has continued throughout the school year and has featured such musicians as Yekwon Sunwoo, a 2017 gold medalist in the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition.

Várjon is known as the first prize winner at the 1991 Géza Anda International Piano Competition in Zürich, Switzerland. The competition awards musicians with a three-year free concert management, which could potentially include up to 200 engagements.

Várjon has collaborated with many distinguished conductors and made appearances at the international festivities of Marlboro, Salzburg and Edinburgh, the release said.

Tickets for general admission are $25, $18 for seniors and $5 for students. A parking code will be made available upon entering Lot P1.
