A Fresno State record four volleyball players have earned All-Mountain West (MW) honors as announced by the conference on Monday.

According to a Fresno State Athletics news release, seniors Taylor Slover and Haile Watson, along with junior Madelyn Halteman were named to the All-Mountain West team.

Sophomore Reagan Leonard received an honorable mention. All four earned their first All-Mountain West selections.

Fresno State previously had not earned more than two all-conference honors since joining the Mountain West in 2012, the release said.

Fresno State also received four all-conference selections in 2003 when it was a member of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC).

Selections are voted on by the 11 head coaches and are based only on conference matches, according to the release.

Slover led the team and finished third in the MW in kills and points per set, averaging 3.94 and 4.49, respectively, in conference matches. She recorded double-digit kills in all but one match in MW play and had two 20-kill matches while leading the team in kills in every match.

She was also second on the team in service aces and digs in league games and led the team with 270 serve receptions and a .949 serve reception average. She was named MW Offensive Player of the Week on Nov. 5, the release added.

Watson ended the conference season with a MW-high 17 solo blocks and was third in total blocks with 91 over 18 MW matches. She also recorded at least four blocks in 15 MW matches. She had seven blocks in three different matches and hit .273 with 1.97 kills per set in league play.

Halteman finished the MW season with 10.82 assists per set and recorded a total of 725 assists. She led the team in assists, with at least 20 in every MW match.

Halteman had four matches with at least 50 assists and 10 with at least 40. She recorded six double-doubles, ranking her second on the team and finished third on the team with 2.21 digs per set. Halteman led the team with 19 service aces in MW play.

Leonard finished second in the MW with 4.63 digs per set in her first season as the ‘Dogs’ starting libero and recorded 310 total digs in league play.

Leonard recorded double-digit digs in all but one match in MW play and had more than 20 digs in five matches. She led the team in digs in 14 MW matches.

She also ranked second among the ‘Dogs’ primary servers with a .956 serve percentage in MW play and was third in serve receptions, the release said.

Leonard was named MW Defensive Player of the Week twice during the regular season with one selection during league play.
