What drew police to Fresno State Thursday? Here’s what we know

A parking lot incident at Fresno State on Thursday drew police to the university.

University spokeswoman Patti Waid said the incident was a traffic stop but it did not involve Fresno State police. She said campus officers offered assistance but it was not needed.

A Fresno State student posted a photo of the incident on Facebook. The image, apparently from Snapchat, included text that suggested three police vehicles responded. In a video also sent by the student, Ann Inthvong, one person is seen being contacted by police as students walk by.

The incident happened in Parking Lot P2, near the Smittcamp Alumni House. It was unclear if the incident involved any students. City of Fresno police did not immediately respond to a message seeking information on the incident.
