Dung throws no-hitter in Puerto Vallarta

Bulldog hoops jockeying for position

The Fresno State women’s basketball team (14-12, 7-8 Mountain West) has lost its last three games, while the men’s team (16-11, 8-7 MW) has won its last two. Before the ’Dogs’ last two wins, the men’s team also found itself in a three-game losing streak.

The women’s team will look to turn things around as it heads closer to Mountain West tournament play. The ’Dogs will play their next two games at home as they take on San Diego State on Wednesday night and Boise State next Tuesday. The team is currently No. 7 in the Mountain West standings.

The men’s team improved its home record to 12-2 with wins over San Jose State and New Mexico. Fresno State’s game against the Spartans saw senior forward Cullen Russo’s return to action after being suspended for a number of games. Russo’s production on the court was much needed after losing fellow senior center Karachi Edo to a right ankle injury, suffered during Fresno State’s quadruple overtime loss at Wyoming. The ’Dogs find themselves at No. 6 in the Mountain West with road games coming up against San Diego State on Wednesday night and Boise State next Tuesday.
