The former Fresno State football player charged with making criminal threats at Fresno State on a social media app, entered a plea of not guilty during his arraignment on Tuesday at the Fresno County Superior Court, Steve Wright, the Fresno County Assistant District Attorney said.

Christian Malik Pryor,18, was arrested after a threat was posted on Yik Yak on Nov. 2

University police found Pryor by working with Yik Yak to track the student’s phone number, Fresno State Police Chief David Huerta said.

Pryor was formally charged on Nov. 13 for making criminal threats, a felony under the California penal code.

Judge Jon M. Skiles also issued a stay-award order that prevents Pryor from entering the Fresno State campus while the case is pending, Wright said.

Pryor’s next court appearance will be Jan. 20, 2016 for a pretrial hearing.
