For all those who are fans of Slurpees, the convenience store chain is offering a one-day opportunity on Saturday to fill up any cup or container from home for less than $2.
The only specified requirement is that the cup or container must fit within the 10-inch cutout underneath the Slurpee machine dispenser.
The deal is available for all locations and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Fresno Filmworks screening
In collaboration with CineCulture, Fresno Filmworks will screen the recent Sundance film, “Kumiko, the Treasure Hunter.”
The independent film stars Rinko Kikuchi, a 2006 Oscar nominee for Best Supporting Actress in “Babel” and was written and directed by filmmaking brothers David and Nathan Zellner.
The dark comedy follows a lonely Japanese woman who after discovering a VHS copy of “Fargo,” goes a quest to find the movie’s buried treasure in the American Midwest.
“Kumiko, the Treasure Hunter” is in Japanese and English with subtitles and runs 105 minutes. Tickets cost $10 for general and $8 for students and seniors.

Shinzen SpringGarden Festival
The Fresno Bonsai Society event will showcase Japanese culture and the beauty of the Shinzen Friendship Garden on Saturday from 11 to 5 p.m.
Taiko drummers, martial arts demonstrations, authentic Japanese cuisine and more will be on hand for the spring celebration.
Tickets are $7 for ages 15 and over, $3 for ages 4 to 14 and children under 4 years old are free.
