A total of 75 students spooned on Saturday in an attempt to break a world record and support the Bulldog Pantry.

The event coordinators fell more than 400 bodies shy of breaking the Guinness World Record for mass spooning by college students. Germany continues to hold the record at 432.

However, participants managed to collect an estimated 100 non-perishable and canned food items.

Business administration major and event coordinator Jennifer Reda said that the event was great but it just didn’t work out.

“The spring scrimmage, track meet and tennis match were each going on at the same time,” Reda said. “We didn’t get a lot of traffic.”

Determined to break a record, the participants came up with a “cleaner” idea””the most amount of people to polish a car simultaneously.

Approximately 74 students polished a car for one minute, which makes Fresno State the new Guinness World Record holder. Sorry Milton Keynes, England.
