The academic calendar in the 2007-2008 General Catalog lists Wednesday, November 21st through Friday, November 23rd as Thanksgiving Recess. This year̢۪s fall academic calendar consistent with the past several years includes the day before and after Thanksgiving as a non-instructional days.
As in years past, most campus offices will be closed on Friday, November 23rd. Staff are encouraged to take advantage of the Thanksgiving Recess by using vacation, CTO, or personal holiday credit on that day. Although there are no classes, Wednesday, November 21st is considered as a regularly scheduled university workday with all campus offices expected to remain open. To the extent business conditions permit and while still providing minimal office coverage, managers are, however, encouraged to accommodate requests from staff who would also like to use additional leave credit to take November 21st off.
During the 2007 Thanksgiving Recess, the Henry Madden Library̢۪s hours will be as follows:
Tuesday, November 20 7:45 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday, November 21 7:45 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Thursday, November 22 CLOSED
Friday, November 23 CLOSED
Saturday, November 24 CLOSED
The Library will return to its regularly scheduled hours effective on Sunday, November 25th.
