Campus Speak

There are a number of designated smoking areas at Fresno State while the rest of the campus remains smoke-free. How do you feel about smoking on campus?

I believe that there should be less smoking areas, I get tired of just passin by everey corner and a man who is smoking, leaving the smoke for me to inhale. I hate it! I mean, if I see the smoke around me ill cover my mouth and my nose, but its always unexpected! There are too many smoking areas. they should reduce the areas to about 1/2 of what they are now.

Don’t worry, latest development plans are to include a casino to go along with Table Mountain’s Campus Pointe, so smoking will be A OK throughout campus!

Maybe they can enclose the whole campus with a desert or maybe space theme, like in Vegas.

Yes, there are designated smoking areas, but not all smokers smoke there. I see people smoking near buildings in non smoking areas everyday. They might not know about the restriction or just don’t care. I think the restriction should be enforced; mere signs will not cause this to happen. It is clear that I despise smoking and see no relevance in deteriorating and intoxicating one’s health in any way.
