Education building evacuated

May 3, 2007

According to The Fresno Bee and Fresno Police, the Kremen Education Building at Fresno State was evacuated Wednesday night after someone reported seeing a suspicious briefcase and the owner of the briefcase could not be located. No threats had been called in to the university, and the police bomb squad arrived on campus shortly after the briefcase was discovered around 8:30 p.m.

    The Collegian is relying on the Fresno Bee for this information? Wouldn’t this be attained by going to the Campus Police? Oh, right—they’re busy directing traffic after concerts—-why would they be interested in something as trivial as student safety?
