The Bulldogs fell behind in the bayou, losing the last of a three-game series to Louisiana Tech 8-6. Fresno State won one game.
In the first inning Tom Mendonca brought Steve Susdorf home for the first Fresno State score of the evening.
LA Tech was scoreless until the fourth inning when Courtney Jones brought in two runs with a single. The game was 3-3 at the bottom of the fifth and LA Tech took the lead thanks to Brian Rike̢۪s two-run homer.
The Bulldogs battled back with Mendonca̢۪s fourth home run of the year, which brought the game back to a 5-5 tie.
LA Tech took the lead with Rike̢۪s three-run shot, and despite Loren Storey batting in Ozzie Lewis in the ninth, the Bulldogs lost 8-6.
