Bulldogs throwers fare well at Cal Poly

Fresno State senior Katie Richardson was the standout contender at Saturday̢۪s Cal Poly Invitational.

Richardson took the discus event with a 165 foot 8.75 inch throw — a season best. Richardson also won the women’s hammer throw and javelin. The Bulldogs swept both events.

The men dominated the hammer throw, taking the podium with Brian Vasquez, Chris Witscher and Oscar Rodriguez. Rodriguez also won the shot put and Dave Endler came in first in men̢۪s discus.

In relay events, Fresno State conquered the relay events with both men and women taking the 4x100m and 4x400m.

Krystina Jackson won 100m hurdles and Ryan Moore won the 400m in hurdles.

The Bulldogs stood out in the dashes as well, with Juan Valdez, Christina Lopez and Rayna White winning each of their events.

The Bulldogs will be at home for the next two events, including the Cal-Nevada Championships on March 30-31.
