Wilderness land and the backcountry teem with diversity: Flora, fauna and geographic formations show a striking array of beauty. But in one area of the outdoors, diversity is markedly absent: its visitors.

Crossing cultural boundaries, the 5 annual Tamejavi Festival, “Our voices, Our stories: A Path to Inclusion,â€Â transformed Radio Park on Sept. 18 into a space where diverse cultures converge to express and share stories, music, food, traditions, and ways of interpreting the world.

It happens sometime during the second quarter. The student section, still filling up with late arrivals, starts up the infamous cheer.
