Senate Bill 1440, the Student Achievement Transfer Reform (STAR) Act which creates a formal transfer Associate of Arts degree for students transferring from community colleges to the CSU, was signed into legislation by Governor Schwarzenegger on Wednesday.

The CSU system has received funding that will allow for a partial restoration of spring admissions, to add or return course sections to schedules and offer longer operating hours in campus services.

Fresno State is forced to block spring registration again for the spring 2011 semester until the necessary funds are restored to the university.
