Near the corner of McKinley and Wishon Avenues, a small ensemble of Fresno State students gathered for the school’s first ever theatrical production. It was 1912, and the Fresno State Normal School’s Dramatic Club was to perform its first play.
Many students have seen the posters for the Summer Arts Program, but most do not know about the coordinators that will be teaching at this special event.
It could have been just another average Friday night—shoving popcorn down my throat at the $3 theater in celebration of completing another week of assignments.
