Conklin finished the game with 20 completions for 182 yards and two interceptions.

Luke and Donelson tied as the Bulldogs’ leading rushers with 23 yards each. They combined for just 12 carries.

The Aztec defense held the Bulldogs to 45 rushing yards, the lowest in a game for the Bulldogs since the Week 0 loss to the Kansas University Jayhawks. The Bulldogs had their longest drive in plays and yards with just under nine minutes left in the game.

The Bulldogs will have to flush this one from the memory bank as they have another rivalry game next week against the Boise State University Broncos on Nov. 1. Kickoff is set for 12:30 p.m. PDT with the Milk Can on the line for the first time since 2023.

The Bulldogs got into the red zone for the first time in the afternoon, but failed to convert a 4th and 5 on the Aztec 12-yard line.

With just over three minutes to go, the Aztecs are poised to retain the Old Oil Can as these two rivals head to the Pac-12.

Conklin’s second interception of the day was returned for a touchdown.

It is the Bulldogs’ 11th interception on the season. The Bulldogs inch closer to their first shutout loss since 2016.

The Aztecs lead 23-0 with 8:46 to go.

The Bulldogs go three-and-out for the fourth time today, and fans were fed up. They booed the offense as they came off the field, failing to move the ball in a critical moment.

On 3rd and 1, the Bulldogs lost five yards on a run play, the theme of this game for the offense.

The Aztecs lead 16-0 with 11:24 to go in the fourth quarter.

The Bulldogs still have life, albeit not much.

After Sutton’s chunk play, the defense held the Aztecs to just three points.

While still a two-possession game, the Bulldogs’ odds of winning wane with the clock bleeding down to its last minutes.

Denegal returns to the game after missing the end of the last Aztec drive. He has tape around his left leg.

Backup quarterback Bert Emanuel Jr. took over for Denegal for nine plays and got the Aztecs to the Bulldog 9-yard line.

The Aztecs attempted a trick play, but defensive end Camryn Bracha blew up the attempt in the backfield and forced a fumble. Defensive lineman Jahzon Jacks recovered the fumble and returned it to the Bulldog 47-yard line.

In a prime position to get some momentum and cut the 13-point deficit, the Bulldogs went three-and-out, the third time this game.

After the punt, the Aztecs have the ball at their 9-yard line, leading 13-0 with 3:56 on the clock.

Denegal is being treated by the Aztec athletic training staff for a lower-body injury.

After the run, Denegal tried running to the sideline but sat down at midfield. Denegal will have to miss at least one play.

The Bulldog offense could not find a groove coming out of halftime.

Conklin had a couple of passes; one incomplete, intended for wide receiver Jayon Farrar, and one complete to running back Rayshon Luke.

A 15-yard penalty on first down put the ‘Dogs behind the sticks.

After getting 40 yards on the first drive, the Bulldog offense has only been able to generate 38 yards of offense. The Aztecs have outgained the Bulldogs by 81 yards in the first half.

Plascencia added a 50-yard field goal with 1:33 left in the half to extend the lead for the Aztecs to 13.

The Bulldogs were able to get back into Aztec territory on the 2-minute drill. Conklin found receivers Jahlil McClain and Freeman to get the Bulldogs moving. However, the Aztec defense held the Bulldogs out of field goal range to end the half and forced the Bulldogs to turn the ball over on downs.

The Bulldogs will receive the second half kickoff.

Another tough drive for the Bulldogs ended in the Bulldogs’ 10th interception of the season. Conklin was hit as he threw the ball, and Aztec defensive lineman August Salvati was able to reel in the floated pass.

The Aztecs have the ball at the Bulldog 30-yard line with two minutes to go in the half and still lead 10-0.

Defensive back Al’zillion Hamilton picked off Denegal for the game’s first turnover. It’s only the third time this season the Aztecs have turned the ball over.

The Bulldogs will take over on their 3-yard line after the interception with 6:30 left in the half.

The Bulldogs go three-and-out for the second straight drive, only mustering one yard of offense on the drive.

After a long drive from the Aztecs, the defense returns to the field after 1:32 of game time.

The Aztec offense continues to give the Bulldog defense issues.

On a 9-play, 52-yard drive, the Aztecs used their bruising running backs to get into field goal range.

Defensive linemen Deijon Laffitte and Finn Claypool combined on a sack on Denegal that pushed them back to a 3rd and 14 play.

Aztec kicker Gabriel Plascencia nailed a 42-yard field goal to give the Aztecs a 10-0 lead with 12:20 left in the second quarter.

After a three-and-out from the Bulldogs, the Aztecs are deep in Bulldog territory after one quarter of play.

Conklin has completed four passes for 36 yards. Denegal has completed four passes for 80 yards. Running back Bryson Donelson has 15 yards on four carries.

The Bulldogs have committed three penalties for 25 yards.

The Aztecs will have the ball at the Bulldog 28-yard line.

The Aztecs found the endzone on their second drive of the game with a rushing touchdown from running back Lucky Sutton.

A 53-yard pass from Denegal to wide receiver Byron Cardwell set the Aztecs up on the 1-yard line.

The Bulldogs thought they had a third-down stop, but a holding penalty on defensive end Jakari Embry extended the drive for the Aztecs.

Four plays later, they found the endzone.

The Aztecs lead the Bulldogs, 7-0, with 3:30 to go in the first quarter.

The Bulldogs sustained an 11-play, 40-yard drive, but could not get into field goal range for kicker Dylan Lynch.

Conklin finished his first drive, completing three passes on six attempts for 29 yards. He had two big third-down completions to Freeman.

The Aztecs will take over on their 8-yard line for their second drive of the game.
