The Bulldogs defeated the Spartans 41-14 on Nov. 29 at CEFCU Stadium.
The Bulldogs rushed for over 250 yards. In his final game as a Bulldog, Gilliam had 92 yards rushing on nine carries and two touchdowns.
The Bulldogs, as a team, rushed 53 times. The offense was able to manage three turnovers by holding the ball for over 39 minutes.
The defense was able to hold the Spartans to just 22 yards of total offense in 21 minutes of possession and force five turnovers, the most they have forced all season.
The Bulldogs will play in a bowl game to close out the 2025 season, but their time in the Mountain West Conference is officially over. They won four Mountain West Conference championships and won 102 games in their 13-year tenure in the conference.
