Fresno State plays homage to Carr

Ten years ago, a young man named David Carr from Bakersfield joined the Fresno State football team in the first recruiting class of new coach Pat Hill. Today, Carr has joined just five other former Bulldogs to have their jerseys retired at Bulldog Stadium.

The Fresno State women’s soccer team opens their season 7 p.m. Friday against UC Irvine. This is the last home game for the ‘Dogs before going on a six-game road trip during the month of September. Tickets are $1 for this game only.

No catching waves for Udwadia

Fresno is where it̢۪s at for Jay Udwadia, the Fresno State men̢۪s tennis coach. While he accepted the position of associate head coach at Pepperdine University last week, he has since decided to stay with the Bulldogs.
