Collegian wins 19 awards

The Collegian took home 19 California College Media Association awards this weekend, including first place in Best Overall Design. The Collegian also won five additional first place student journalism awards at the presentation on March 1 in San Francisco, as a part of the annual Associated Collegiate Press National College Newspaper Convention. The competition had more than 900 entries in more than 75 editorial, photo, design and advertising categories. Students from 22 California university publications were presented with more than 300 awards.
