Thumbs up to Head Coach Tony Dungy of the Indianapolis Colts, the first African-American coach to lead his team to a Super Bowl victory.

Thumbs up to the film Homeward Bound, in that it functions as a testament to animals’ keen extinct for finding their ways back home. Good luck, Pookie!

Thumbs down to the decision to repaint parking lots in the middle of the semester. While the work will primarily occur in faculty lots, those yellow permits are also valid in green lots — meaning student parking could become even more scarce. Sigh.

Thumbs up to the dinosaurs. They’re still extinct and we’re safer because of it — and they sure made a tasty fruit snack!

Thumbs down to Steelhead Brewery in Oregon for retaining the rights to Bulldog Root Beer, even after production has been discontinued. It’s heaven in a bottle, and we want it back in Fresno!
