Our OpinionsThe One Finger Salute
Thumbs up to Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama for stirring up the race for the presidency. Hopefully, it's enough to inspire interest among young voters, who are notoriously bad at turning out on Election Day.
Thumbs up to Dakota Fanning for telling it straight amidst criticisms of her new film "Hounddog," which involves a scene wherein her character is raped. "It’s a movie, and it’s called acting," she says. We don't like rape, but we love Dakota.
A big thumbs down to the AS Readership Program and its new paper, The Financial Times. Though two-thirds of the executive staff are majoring in business, we're not sure who else is reading it. We like the salmon-colored paper though.
Bigger thumbs up to the traffic police working their magic over between the parking lots on Barstow Avenue. We couldn't make it to class without you!
Finally, thumbs down to Fresno State sports fans. If we can get 30,000 people to show up to a football game where the team loses by 60 points, we should be able to sell out at least one basketball game.
