“The wind was pretty tough today,” Fresno State coach Angie Cates said. “But everyone played in the same conditions. We had some good holes and some bad holes, we just need to do a better job of minimizing our mistakes.”
Fresno State’s Laura Luethke was the Bulldogs best finisher, shooting a final round 73 to finish in fourth place in the individual competition. Luethke shot a first-round 76 and a second-round 72 for a 5-over 221.
“A final round score of 73 in the conditions today was a great round,” Cates said. “Laura had a solid finish today with a birdie on three of the last four holes.”
Fellow Fresno State golfers Jennifer Shipley and Taylor Siebert also finished the tournament with solid individual performances. Siebert shot 13-over 229 to tie for 14th place while Siebert shot a 15-over 231 to tie for 24th place.
