Six pack of rock at the Pit

DEAD DAYS

Six pack of rock at the Pit

Six of Fresno’s best local rock bands will be playing a free show in the Pit from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday. Life doesn’t get much better than that.

Local rock n’ roll sensation Pink Eye, perhaps one of Fresno’s best rock acts around, will appease the audience’s need for some solid alternative/indie rock. They have been compared to the likes of a danceable Pixies meets Weezer (when they were good).

For all the punk fans at Fresno State, It’ll Grow Back will pleasantly grow on everyone’s insatiable need for an energetic front man and catchy guitar riffs, while one of Fresno’s only all-girl indie rock bands, Ira, will display not only their physical beauty onstage, but their musical enchantment as well.

Also playing will be Fresno’s favorite emo rockers Bel and the Dragon, along with legendary Fresno hard rockers Sparklejet, who know how to set the mood for an evening of rock n’ roll bliss. Newcomers to the scene, The Flood, will also be partake in the evening of fun-filled live music.

The show starts promptly at 7 p.m., so students should take a break from studying for once and enjoy the springtime weather with the soothing and always satisfying sounds of Fresno’s local talent. Open minds and happy faces are encouraged.
