Baseball wins second straight tourney game

It’s tournament time at Fresno State, not just for the men’s and women’s basketball team, but for the baseball team as well—and that means it’s time for the Bulldogs’ bats to come alive.The Bulldogs are hosting the Pepsi/Johnny Quik Classic this week—and as usual—the team is putting up large numbers offensively, but it’s the team’s pitching staff that is proving their worth.More>>

Let the madness begin. With the regular season over for the Western Athletic Conference’s women’s basketball teams, tournament play has begun at Fresno State’s Save Mart Center. The conference records determine where each team will be seeded in the tournament.More>>

Mustafa Al-Sayyad is a good guy. After all, the 6-foot, 9-inch junior center is still on the Fresno State basketball team. He didn’t beat up his girlfriend’s car. His dad didn’t tell the Fresno Bee he’s a pot smoker. And just ask him to comment on his standout play in the past two games.More>>

 

 

 

Jamie Southern sets a new Bulldogs softball record for career strikeouts in two-game split

Amanda Wolf gave up four runs in four innings during Bulldogs loss in the second of Tuesday’s double header.

Jamie Southern moved north on Fresno State’s career strikeouts list on Tuesday night—all the way to the top. Southern continued her record-setting ways in Fresno State’s doubleheader split (3-3, 1-9) with Virginia on Tuesday night.More>>

 

2004 WAC Tournament tips off on campus...

It’s back to the WAC tournament for the Bulldogs, and this time they won’t have to travel far. Fresno State opens its Western Athletic Conference tournament play against Boise State at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.More>>
