Student gov't schedules new ticket forums

In Thursday night’s AS meeting, Activities Senator Brent Hansen said the Student Basketball Ticket Distribution Committee has rescheduled two forums on student basketball ticket distribution for Monday and Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Free Speech Area.

Hansen also said the committee met with administration and has come up with a plan for student basketball ticket distribution.

Other business included:

• Allocation of funds to the USA Today Collegiate Readership Program, which will provide students with 150 USA Today newspapers each school day in the spring semester.

• Allocation of funds to the Cambodian Collegiate Association’s Free Dance, to be held Nov. 7.

• Allocation of funds to the South East Asian Teacher’s Association’s 9th Educational Conference, to be held Nov. 8.

• Approval of funding allocations to AS committees, including the legal, academic, personal, finance and activities committees.

• Appointment of Paul Amador to the position of election commissioner.
