Fresh from her heated altercation with Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger in Wednesday’s recall debate, independent candidate and self-described political gadfly Arianna Huffington will be at Fresno State at noon today to drum up support for her run for Governor. More>>

Scholarships available for those in ‘public service’
Students interested in public service will have the opportunity to receive from $2,000 to $10,000 in scholarship funds from the Kenneth L. Maddy Institute this fall.

The only catch?

Hundreds apply for arena jobs
Carlos Radillo got up Wednesday morning, got dressed and prepared for a job interview.

Radillo, a senior at Fresno State, grabbed his résumé and headed to campus, arriving about 45 minutes before the start of the Save Mart Center student job fair, hoping to beat the large crowd of students that were sure to show up wanting jobs as well.

“ I wasn’t nervous,” he said later. “I felt very confident about getting a job.” More>>

Stop the Hate Week will start this Saturday with a workshop on prejudice reduction from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Renaissance Room. This year, the theme is “Building a Culture of Peace.” More>>
