Administration vice-president namedFresno State has named Cynthia Teniente-Matson the next Vice President for Administration and Chief Financial Officer, effective in March 2004. Teniente-Matson, who has been the vice chancellor for Administrative Services at the University of Alaska Anchorage for the past three years, accomplished many changes during her time in Anchorage, including changing administrative functions to better service students and faculty at the university. Teniente-Matson was chosen from among 30 candidates from throughout the country and will be overseeing a range of areas on campus, from administrative policy development to real estate development and utility management. She will also be chair of the California State University, Fresno Association board of directors and will be responsible for financial oversight of all auxiliary corporations. Teniente-Matson takes the place of Dr. Benjamin F. Quillian, who left Fresno State to become the senior vice president for business and operations at the American Council on Education in Washington, D.C. |
