Memorial events are scheduled on and around campus Thursday to honor Sept. 11; people can pay their respects by watching a video, listening to music or by giving blood.

A viewing of a video called “9/11 aftermath” will take place in the University Student Union building, room 312 at 6:30 p.m.

The tape shows how the U.S. government handled its investigation into the attacks.

The video deals with forgotten issues surrounding the tragedy, according to its sponsors, the Campus Peace & Civil Liberties Coalition and Peace Fresno.

The department of music will hold a memorial concert on Thursday evening. Students and faculty will start performing at 8 p.m. in the Concert Hall.

A wide variety of instruments and singers will be on stage, including the wind ensemble and chamber singers.

The Fresno State Blood Drive will be held near the USU from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday. Donors will receive a pint of their favorite ice cream and other rewards.

The Central Californian Blood Center are looking for donors to come to the event, citing a high demand for blood in hospitals.

First-time donors will need photo identification and Social Security Number.
