Fresno State’s 51st annual Vintage Days celebration, begins this weekend, April 11-13.
The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
It will take place near the Resnick Student Union in parking lots P30 and 31.
Per the campus communications email sent to students and staff, P30 and 31 will be closed from April 9-13 and the Shaw/Barton entrance will be closed on April 11.
Supplemental parking will be provided in P1 for staff and those with disabilities (ADA).
Vintage Days holds a series of entertainment, including live performances, food, art showcasing, gaming expos and a beer and wine garden.
The student-run event, organized by the Student Involvement Center, is the largest of its kind at Fresno State and has been in the works since the Fall 2024 semester, explained Aranza Equihua, who helped plan the festival.
“I feel like it’s a really good place, especially for freshmen when they’re starting to get to know what’s around [Fresno],” Equihua said. “I think it’s nice that it’s open to the whole community.”
Vintage Days is open to all ages, including children.
“We have a kids zone and a Dave & Buster’s fun zone, which is new this year,” Equiha said.
The event offers free parking and admission to attendees but charges $30 for a wristband to access the fun zone, kids zone and animé gaming con, explained Student Involvement Center member Aidan Brown.
“It’s here to bring the community closer to Fresno State, but also to get our students more involved,” Brown said.
At last year’s Vintage Days, there were 222 vendors and sponsors. This year, Fresno State News estimates that approximately 50,000 people will be attending.
Melany Castillo, a sophomore at Fresno State, attended Vintage Days her freshman year and is planning to return this year.
“I did not expect as much stuff as there was, but it was amazing,” Castillo said. “There was the animé con, which was very exciting.”
For Castillo, the animé con is the main attraction of Vintage Days, but the event’s variety of services and shopping can appeal to everyone.
“I bought so much, there was also local vendors and a lot of items like fashion and home design,” Castillo said. “I was so excited.”
The Fresno community can look forward to three days of fun, food and music at the 2025 Vintage Days.
Wristbands are available for purchase at the event.
