The Fresno State women’s basketball coach stepped down on March 24.
Head Coach Jaime White spent the last 11 years with the Bulldogs, finishing with a 196-156 record.
Her most successful season came in 2020, as White coached the team to a regular season championship title. Also during the same year, White was named Mountain West Coach of the Year.
This past season the team finished with a 19-15 record, as the Bulldogs finished with their first above .500 record since 2021. The Bulldogs ended with an 8-10 conference record, dropping their last four games before entering the Mountain West Tournament as the No. 6 seed.
In the Mountain West Tournament, the ‘Dogs beat No. 11 seed San Jose State and upset No. 3 Colorado State before being taken down in the semifinals by the No. 2 seed Wyoming Cowgirls.
Director of Athletics Garrett Klassy commented on White stepping down in an email sent out by Savannah Stoeckle, the assistant athletics director for strategic communications for the women’s basketball team.
“Jaime led our program with character and compassion and so many of her student-athletes have earned their degrees and gone on to impact their communities,” Klassy said.
White finishes her Bulldog career with the second-most wins by a head coach.
The Bulldogs will start their search for the next women’s head coach immediately.
