The NFL playoffs are in full swing and a few former Bulldogs are looking to make a difference in their team’s quest for a title.
Nikko Remigio starts the game off with a bang
The former Bulldog receiver, now Kansas City Chiefs return man, opened up the Divisional Round with a big opening kickoff return against the Houston Texans on Saturday, Jan. 18.
Remigio caught the ball on his own 5-yard line and took it 63 yards well into Houston’s territory before fumbling the ball. His teammate Samaje Perine recovered the fumble, setting up Kansas City with good field position to start the game.
Remigio finished the game with three returns for 110 yards, averaging almost 37 yards per return. He also returned a punt for 11 yards.
Kansas City beat the Texans 23-14.
The Chiefs will look to capture their fifth American Football Conference (AFC) Championship title in the last seven years when they take on the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, Jan. 26 at 3:30 p.m. in Arrowhead Stadium.
This won’t be the first meeting between these two teams this season. The Bills beat the Chiefs in Buffalo, 30-21 on Nov. 17, 2024.
Morice Norris Jr. sees more playing time with injured Lions
The former Bulldog defensive back saw the most action of his entire season in the loss to the Washington Commanders on Saturday, Jan. 18.
With all of the injuries to Detroit’s secondary, Norris got more playing time and made some plays when he was in the game.
Norris finished with three total tackles.
The Lions did lose to the Commanders 45-31, ending Detroit’s season.
Mykal Walker sees some action in the upset against Detroit
