Simon Biles and the United States women’s gymnastics team flipped their way to a gold medal in the team finals of the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The 2024 Summer Olympics is taking place in Paris, France from July 24 to Aug. 11. The event that comes every four years consists of top athletes from 206 different countries competing to win a gold, silver or bronze medal.
At the Tokyo Olympics in 2020, Biles pulled-back from competing after facing mental health issues. With her absence, the team took home the silver medal.
Now just four years later Biles led the team back to the top of the podium.
The USA gymnastics team includes Biles, 27, Jordan Chiles, 23, Jade Carey, 24, Sunisa Lee, 21 and Hezly Rivera, 16. Rivera is the youngest Team USA athlete to compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
