The month of August has kicked off the academic year along with the different sport seasons Fresno State has to offer, which also means The Collegian’s monthly Top Dog award returns.
This month’s Top Dog is Addison Haluska of the volleyball team. Haluska is going into her sophomore campaign playing at the middle blocker position for the ‘Dogs.
The Arizona native led Fresno State with 18 kills against Kent State in the Butler Bulldog Brawl tournament on Aug. 26. She also recorded 18 points against UC San Diego in the Aug. 25 match.
As a freshman, she played 29 matches for Fresno State, starting in 22 of them. She attended Campo Verde High School where as a senior she finished in the top 10 for kills in the state of Arizona.
