A second flu shot and COVID-19 booster clinic is scheduled for Nov. 29, said Debbie Adishian-Astone, vice president for administration and chief financial officer, in a campuswide email sent on Monday morning.
The clinic will be held in the Resnick Student Union (RSU) lobby from 1-5 p.m.
According to Amy Luna, emergency preparedness manager, 130 flu vaccines and 145 COVID-19 booster vaccines were administered at the Nov. 3 clinic.
Fresno State officials scheduled the additional clinic date after a “great turnout” at the Nov. 3 clinic, Adishian-Astone said.
The clinic will again be in partnership with the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) to offer employees and students free flu shots and COVID-19 booster shots.
COVID-19 booster shots will be available for those who are two months past their full vaccination status. Both monovalent and bivalent Pfizer, Moderna, Novavax and flu vaccines will be offered.
Attendees are advised to bring a photo ID and a previous COVID-19 booster record, if applicable.
“Flu season is upon us and we hope you will take advantage of this convenient opportunity,” Adishian-Astone said.
