Fresno State women’s soccer will kick off their home schedule this Friday when they host the Sacramento State Hornets at 7 p.m. at the Soccer and Lacrosse Stadium, according to Fresno State Athletics.
The Hornets come into the match with a record of 0-2, suffering both defeats in away games to UC Santa Barbara and UNLV last week.
They return 14 letterwinners from 2017 including its leading scorer Kylee Kim-Bustillos, who scored 11 goals and recorded 4 assists during the campaign.
The Bulldogs returned 11 letterwinners from 2017 including four starters.
Goalkeeper Nicole Theroux returns after recording 70 saves and a 0.83 goals against average.
Fresno State also brought in eight new players including six freshman and 2 transfers.
The team enters the match with a 1-1 record after defeating Montana and losing to Drake.
Sacramento State defeated Fresno State on Aug. 26 of last year by a score of 2-1 in overtime at Sacramento.
