The Cross Cultural and Gender Center at Fresno State recently announced it is recruiting students to join the center’s volunteer ‘Peers Supporting Peers’ program for the fall semester.
According to Joury Robles, the graduate coordinator for LGBTQ+ services at the center, “The program was designed and created to provide student peers with tools in crisis management.” She said students have a choice of attending one of four training sessions in late August and early September.
Training sessions are currently scheduled for Friday, Aug. 24 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, Aug. 25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Friday, Sept. 7 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.; and Saturday, Sept. 8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
