My name is Primavera Leal Martinez, and I am running for Vice President of External Affairs on the slate, All4Students.

My grandparents were migrant workers from the Central Valley, and my mother and father were first generation Fresno State graduates — go dogs! From an early age, they instilled in me the importance of education and hard work. I am determined to ensure that Fresno State is affordable and accessible to all students from all backgrounds.

As Senator of Undergraduate and Graduate Affairs, I have advocated for more research opportunities to help prepare students for post-graduate work, as well as online and night classes to help them graduate on time. I also have experience working with local colleges to advocate on behalf of students in the Central Valley.

I will continue to coordinate with colleges to address issues like mental health, crime, and DACA. As President of the Debate Club as well as co-chair of MEChA, I have organized several community efforts to celebrate and serve my community.
