The California Faculty Association applauded the California Democratic Party over the weekend for opposing a possible tuition hike by the California State University system.
The California Democratic Convention was held in San Diego from Feb. 23-25. CFA President Jennifer Eagan addressed the delegates at the event.
Eagan mentioned that the CSU has raised tuition by 300 percent since the year 2000 and that tuition went up 5 percent just last year.
“The CSU ”” the people’s university ”” fuels the engine of the California dream,” Eagan said. “Help keep the doors of our collective future open.”
The CFA represents faculty and staff on the 23 CSU campuses.
