The California Faculty Association applauded the California Democratic Party over the weekend for opposing a possible tuition hike by the California State University system.

The California Democratic Convention was held in San Diego from Feb. 23-25. CFA President Jennifer Eagan addressed the delegates at the event.

Eagan mentioned that the CSU has raised tuition by 300 percent since the year 2000 and that tuition went up 5 percent just last year.

“The CSU ”” the people’s university ”” fuels the engine of the California dream,” Eagan said. “Help keep the doors of our collective future open.”

The CFA represents faculty and staff on the 23 CSU campuses.
